Hi, Alf!

Home maintenance that doesn't rely on memory

HVAC filters, smoke detectors, gutters, water heater. Alf remembers when each one is due, for every home you manage.

Free to start. No card required.

Skipped maintenance turns into expensive repairs

Most home upkeep has no obvious date: the HVAC filter that should be swapped every few months, the smoke detector batteries, the gutters before fall, the water heater flush once a year. When nobody remembers, the problem shows up at the worst possible time.

A paper checklist or a spreadsheet helps, but it doesn't remind you. And once you're looking after more than one place, like a rental or your parents' house, keeping it all in your head stops working.

Frequently asked questions

What goes on a home maintenance checklist?

Common items are replacing HVAC filters, testing smoke and CO detectors, cleaning gutters, flushing the water heater, servicing the furnace or AC, checking fire extinguishers and cleaning the dryer vent. In Alf you add only what applies to your home.

How often should I change my HVAC filter?

A common rule of thumb is every 1 to 3 months, depending on the filter and whether you have pets. In Alf, create the item with "every 2 months" and it shows up as "due soon" when it's time.

Does it work if I rent?

Yes. Track only what's on you as a tenant, like filters and detector batteries, and leave the rest out.

Can I track more than one property?

Yes. Add as many properties as you need and filter maintenance by property.

How much does it cost?
